Fashion is a term used interchangeably to describe the creation of clothing, footwear, accessories,cosmetic, aesthetics and their mix and match into outfit that depict distinctive ways of dressing (styles and trends as signifies social status,self expression and group belonging.In the most common use,the term fashion refers to current expressions on sale through the fashion industry.

The levels of focus in the fashion industry consist of many seperate but independent sectors.These sectors include textile design and production,fashion design and manufacturing and manufacturing. Each sector is devoted to the goal of satisfying consumer demand for apparel under conditions that enables participant in the industry to operate at a profit. Each of these sectors has its regulation factor which is where “Fashion Law” comes to play. The fashion industry is not without its regulation. Just like every other industry there are regulations put in place to ensure the smooth running of all activities

Pertaining to that sector of industry and as such,the fashion industry is not left out.

There are several regulations under the fashions industry in Nigeria and the purpose of the research work the regulations will be classified into eight and they are as follows
