Over the years, as both a legal and tech professional, I have had the privilege of speaking with some very brilliant minds within and outside Nigeria, particularly young people with world-changing ideas who simply could not scale. Not because they lacked drive, or vision, or even skill, but because the system around them was not built to help them win.
I remember hearing about a young man in Nigeria who built a fuel-less generator. A literal solution to one of Nigeria’s biggest problems. However, he could not scale because he had no access to funding, no real partners, no legal guidance to protect or structure his innovation, and no system that would back him and walk that journey with him.
I have met startup founders with promising digital products just like ours. Products that could solve real problems, but they could not find the right people to build with or lacked the funds to move from MVP to market. Some of us have lost out on opportunities because we did not know how to legally structure collaborations. Some others gave up completely.
These are not rare stories. They are everyday stories. And that is exactly why the Metalex App was built.
We are creating a platform that closes these gaps; a space where:
